Hi, I'm Hilary (Dr. Tate, if you feel like it). I am the founder + principal designer of Brick+Palm Architecture+Interiors Studio, and I am dual licensed in architecture and dentistry in New York State.

The name Brick+Palm represents my love for all the people and places that formed me - California, Miami, and New York.  90’s hip hop and R&B are my soundtrack, and when I get a chance to read, I can be found looking at mostly non-fiction or pretty picture books.  I get my news from Bravo, News Podcasts, and NPR, and I pride myself in being able to find a commonality with almost anybody.

Regarding interiors, I believe that every space should have at least one element that is handmade and also something wacky to be a conversation starter.  I am very sensitive to my surroundings and has an inherent need to make spaces flow well and feel less chaotic.
